Dean Lontos is co-founder of Altivar Capital, which has directly and through affiliates originated, managed, and serviced over 4000 loans since 2008.  

He is also a co-founder of Kalterra, a Texas-based multifamily and mixed-use development firm. Previously, Dean co-founded TriVest Residential, acquiring and repositioning over 5,000 multifamily units.  

With over $2 billion in real estate transactions, Dean brings a deep understanding of capital deployment, real estate finance and strategy.

FOUNDER & MANAGING PARTNER

Loy Shaw is a Founder and Managing Partner of Altivar Capital, bringing more than 25 years of experience in commercial, multifamily, and single-family real estate ownership and finance. He has played a key role in capitalizing, training, and mentoring multiple hard money lending startups across markets throughout the United States. Since 2020, he has focused on private credit, drawing on his extensive background to oversee operations and capital markets for a pooled mortgage fund.

Previously, Loy served as Managing Director for a real estate investment fund manager that deployed over $450 million of equity into distressed acquisitions and opportunistic financing strategies. During the first decade of his career, he specialized in structuring and arranging debt and equity financing for commercial and multifamily properties. Loy holds a B.S. in Finance from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Austin Meadows serves as managing director of Altivar Capital.

He brings 7+ years of principal and lending experience, having contributed to over $1 billion in acquisition, development, and lending activity across major Sunbelt markets since 2018.

He previously held senior roles at Culver Investment Partners, Kalterra Capital Partners, Bay Mountain Capital, and Triple Crown Investments, with deep expertise in underwriting, capital markets, and portfolio management.
